Objective

The objective of this policy is to document, manage & control the field service process of the Consumer Durable Products under brand name “SANSUI”.

Scope

This is applicable to SANSUI Product Services only.

Warranty Policy

*RTB-Return to Bench- means the engineer may call back the customer’s product at service centre’s premises for troubleshooting /repair, in case it is not feasible at customer’s premises. To register the warranty, at the time of purchase of product, the customer needs to call at the company’s customer care number(1860 500 3555) or at website: www.sansuiworld.com, to get the warranty registered for his/her product.

This limited warranty shall cover the defects arising in the product only out of the manufacturing or faulty workmanship. Company’s obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair or replacement of the part/s only. The maximum liability of the company through this warranty is limited to product purchase value/MRP (whichever is lower).

Warranty Period is effective from the date of purchase of the product mentioned on Original Purchase Invoice, provided always that the Warranty Card is duly filled and bears the rubber stamp, date and signature of the Authorised Dealer. Warranty will not be considered valid if the above referred documents are not presented or the information contained is incomplete or the Warranty Card/Invoice is found tampered.

Under Warranty

Product will be repaired under standard warranty policy.

Out of Warranty

Product will be repaired on chargeable basis.

Repair Warranty

30 days’ service warranty shall be provided if the product is earlier repaired on chargeable basis and the same fault is repeated. Warranty start date will be considered either from date of Primary Sale or end users sale Invoice.

Primary Sale

Should have a valid GST number or it is pre-printed, mentioning complete address and contact number of sales partner.

End User sales invoice

Should have a valid GST number or it is pre-printed, mentioning complete address and contact number of sales partner.

RTB

Return to Bench, where purchaser will carry product at JIPL’s Own or Authorized Service Centre.

General Terms & Conditions

  1. This warranty is confined to the first purchaser of the product only.
  2. This warranty is applicable only for the personal use of product by purchaser and warranty will be void if product is used for any commercial purpose.
  3. Repair or replacement will be carried out through the Company’s Own /Authorized Service Centre (Check: www.sansuiworld.com –> Support –> Service Centre).
  4. In the event of repairs/replacement of any part/s of the unit, this warranty will thereafter continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period of the warranty. Moreover, the time taken for repair/replacement and in transit whether under the warranty or otherwise shall not be excluded from the warranty period.
  5. The company or its Authorized Service Centre, reserves the right to retain any part/s or component/s replaced at it’s discretion in the event of a defect noticed in the equipment during the warranty period.
  6. Demonstration/installation of the product purchased is free of cost for one time, and will be chargeable afterwards in case of re-installation/demo.
  7. The company's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair or providing replacement of part/s only. The maximum claim/s if entertained by the company will subject to the maximum retail price of the product purchased or the purchase price, whichever is lower.
  8. In the event of any unforeseen circumstances, spares not being available, the company's prevailing depreciation rules will be binding on the purchaser to accept as a commercial solution in lieu of repairs.
  9. The company's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or providing replacement of part/s, which are found to be defective.

The warranty is not applicable in the following conditions -

  1. The product is used for commercial purpose instead of personal use.
  2. The stamped and signed warranty card/invoice original copy is not presented to authorized personnel at the time of repair.
  3. The product is not purchased from an Authorized Sales Channel of Sansui.
  4. The product is not used as per the instructions given in the instruction/user manual.
  5. Defects caused by improper use as determined by the company personnel.
  6. Modification or alteration of any nature is made in the electrical circuitry/physical tampering of the product.
  7. Installation/repair work is carried out by persons/agency other than a person authorized by the company.
  8. Premises where the product is kept, conditions that do not conform to the recommended operating conditions of the product.
  9. The original serial number is removed, obliterated or altered from the product or cabinet.
  10. Defects due to cause beyond control like lightning, abnormal voltage, acts of God or while in transit to Service Centre or purchaser's residence (if carried by customer to Service Centre/or packing box not provided by customer while handing over the product to engineer for taking it to Service Centre).

DOA (Dead on Arrival) Criteria

If product found non-functional within specified duration from DOP (Date of Purchase). In case of any damage to the product (internal or external)- same will not be considered for DOA. In case, any of the accessory is non-functional but product is ok- for such cases only respective accessory will be replaced.

Policy

  1. Applicable for sets which are not repairable, having repeated failure or for which functional spares are not available.
  2. In case customer does not agrees for replacement, refund to be given after applying depreciation.
  3. All products to undergo depreciation from the date of purchase(DOP).
  4. In case bill is not available with customer, then he has to provide affidavit (for Purchase Proof) and DP of the model will be considered as per purchase month. Consideration of affidavit may get rejected by the company if not found genuine/authentic.
  5. For replacement cases customer has to pay the difference amount between new product DP with that of depreciated value of his old set.

Scope

  1. Applicable for all products under Out of Warranty/Extended Warranty/AMC.

Depreciation Amount

  1. In case the product is under AMC or Complete Product Extended Warranty, then depreciation rate will be charged one slab above the normal slab.
  2. AMC/Complete Product Extended warranty, amount of remaining years will be refunded to customer.
  3. Above points will not be applicable for those cases where additional warranty is limited to specific parts only (like Compressor/Washing Machine Motor etc).

In case the product is under additional part warranty -

If failure is related to part under additional warranty (like Compressor/Washing Machine Motor etc) then that part value (customer price without tax) will be added to depreciated product value.

Note The above policies are for warranty service and the customer will be responsible for any costs associated with non-warranty conditions. If product is damaged /burnt, then depreciation policy will not be applicable. “Company” reserves the right to make final decisions regarding problem detected and the appropriate service option, subject to change without prior notice. Any disputes arising out of the warranty shall be exclusively settled at the Courts of Delhi.
